Recirculating batch dryers Araj S2

Capacities: from 80 to 150 t/24h for wheat with moisture reduction from 19% to 15%







ARAJ batch dryers find application in individual farms, agricultural enterprises as well as in grain purchasing and selling companies. They are intended for drying all kind of cereal grains, maize, rapeseed, sunflower, seeds of leguminous plants, and other bulk materials.

Ecological drying with clean air

In the S2 dryers, the heating oven of high efficiency (even up to 96%) is equipped with a heat exchanger. Thanks to this, grain is dried with clean air at the proper temperature. The heated duct connecting the oven with the dryer column prevents heat losses to the outside. The oven housing is made from multilayer coated sheet metal to ensure effective anticorrosion protection. Burners installed in the oven are fired by light fuel oil or gas.

Grain recirculation in the column

The S2 dryers are equipped with the grain reclaim system which allows grain recirculation, i.e. its periodic movement inside the column. Such a mode of operation ensures drying uniformity and greatly improves drying economics. The PK and PKK models provide a full automatic control of grain recirculation in the dryer.

The whole drying process in the batch dryer can be divided into four stages: loading grain into the dryer, grain drying, grain cooling and grain unloading from the dryer. Depending on the dryer model, dried grain can be recirculated in the column, and also it can be cleaned in the receiving separator mounted on the dryer roof.

The control of dryer operation is very simple and is done with the use of a few clearly marked buttons in the control cabinet. All S2-type dryers are equipped with the drying temperature regulation.

Depending on the optional equipment installed, the S2 dryers are offered in three versions:

Basic version - P
The basic version (P) comprises the dryer with an oven and control cabinet with drying temperature regulation. In this version, the S2 dryers are not equipped with grain filling and discharge devices.

Compact version - PK (with bucket elevator)
As compared to version P, the PK version dryers are additionally equipped with a bucket elevator with a platform, suitable piping system (divider, pipes, elbows, couplings) and automatic control system of grain recirculation, drying and cooling. The PK version is a self-contained system ready for operation right after assembly.

Compact version - PKK (with bucket elevator and receiving separator)
The PPK version includes a receiving separator, KOM-25 located on the dryer roof. Grain is initially cleaned by removing light contaminants, which greatly improves the quality of the dried grain. As in the PK version, the dryer is also equipped with a bucket elevator with a platform, suitable piping system (divider, pipes, elbows, couplings) and automatic control system of grain recirculation. The PKK dryers are ready for operation right after assembly.

* Consumption of light heating oil to dry 1 tonne of material with 1% moisture reduction is approx. 1.1 litre for rapeseed and wheat, and 1.2 - 1.5 litre for maize, at average weather conditions, proper operation.
